How a door to door tracking app logs the knock

A door to door tracking app has to write the pin while the rep is there. Knockdesk uses Start Knock for the timed visit, or Log visit for the outcome only. Both need GPS.

1Open the pin. Location must be on. Log visit will not start without GPS.
2Choose Start Knock for a timed visit at the door, or Log visit to save the outcome without the timed session.
3If you are farther from the pin than Location Verification Maximum Distance, default 100 meters, Log visit still saves. Unverified door knocks keep an Unverified visit badge.
4Pick the vendor if the pin has more than one, pick the outcome stage, add notes or follow-up when that stage requires them, then Complete visit.
5Not Home still counts as coverage. Do Not Contact and Invalid Address do not.

Do Not Contact	Marks as DNC takes the pin off coverage.
Invalid Address	Marks as Invalid. The pin is left out of coverage.
Business Closed	The place is not a household you can work.
Other	A catch-all the admin can still rule.

Who can knock an unassigned place

Field prospecting is the org rule. Full lockdown, Semi lockdown, or Unrestricted. The territory switch Allow field prospecting only applies in Semi lockdown.
