Dispute, then void or restore
You resolve a commission dispute on the deal, under Sale confirmation. Knockdesk is field sales software that can mark a confirmed sale Under dispute, leave the ledger unchanged, then restore it or void it. Void, when a commission row exists, writes a reversal of that amount times negative one. Only an admin confirms, disputes, and voids.
Book a Walkthrough- 1Open the deal. Sale confirmation shows Unconfirmed, Pending review, Confirmed, Under dispute, or voided.
- 2Pending review means the row sat under the auto-confirm threshold or the match was ambiguous. An admin works that queue from Reconciliation.
- 3On a confirmed sale, submit a dispute with a reason. Sale disputed sets the deal to Under dispute. The line is excluded from compensation totals until it is resolved. A voided sale cannot be disputed.
- 4Resolve dispute by confirming again, or by voiding. Confirming restores the sale to confirmed. Voiding needs a reason.
- 5Void sale stores the reason. When a commission row exists, it writes a reversal of that amount times negative one. A sale already voided cannot be voided again.
- 6A field sales rep reads their own summary, including reversals. They do not dispute or void.

What each action does to pay
Dispute is a hold. The dollars already written stay put, and the sale drops out of totals until you resolve it. Void is the write that flips the amount. Do not treat dispute as a reversal. If Friday's file is wrong, dispute first, then void only when the sale should not pay.
