what is territory saturation

How much of the area has been worked

What is territory saturation is how much of the area has been worked. Knockdesk is field sales software that reads that coverage on the turf you assigned. Finished knocks count, including Not Home. Do Not Contact does not count toward coverage.

The area

Saturation that counts Do Not Contact is a lie about the knocks

You feel it when Friday says the territory is saturated and Monday still has doors the crew must not hit. What is territory saturation is worked knocks over the workable area. Nobody-home is worked. Do Not Contact is a pin you leave alone. Counting it as coverage makes the territory look finished.

  • Worked

A knock landed. Not Home still moves saturation. The next crew should not recut that pin as fresh.

  • Left

Unvisited pins that are still workable. That is the rest of the area.

  • Off the base

Do Not Contact and invalid addresses do not count toward coverage. They come off the workable doors.

West basin

Ninety-six knocks, five DNC, a percent you can recompute

West basin holds 240 assigned pins inside one sales territory. 5 are Do Not Contact. Maya logs 96 knocks, and 28 of those 96 are Not Home. Workable assigned doors are 240 minus 5, which is 235. Territory saturation is 96 / 235, about 40.9 percent. If someone counts the 5 DNC pins as worked, they read 101 / 240, about 42.1 percent. Those 5 knocks never happened.

Recompute both. Same knocks. Only DNC changes the saturation story.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is territory saturation?

Territory saturation is how much of the area has been worked. Finished knocks over workable assigned doors. Do Not Contact does not count toward coverage.

Does Not Home count toward saturation?

Yes. Not Home is a knock. The door was worked even though no one answered.

Does Do Not Contact count toward coverage?

No. Do Not Contact stays off the workable base. It does not count as finished work.

Is saturation the same as contact rate?

No. Saturation is worked doors over assigned doors. Contact rate is contacts over knocks.

Where do I read saturation on the desk?

On the turf row: visited pins against the pack, with Do Not Contact called out so it does not hide as work.

What is the 96 / 235 example?

96 finished knocks on 235 workable doors, after 5 Do Not Contact pins come off 240. About 40.9 percent. That is the example, not a target.
