score a script after a knock

Score the script after the door

You score a script after a knock, once the recording is transcribed. Knockdesk is field sales software that checks each live script step as Used, Missed, Not applicable, or Could not check. A draft does not score talks. There is no whisper in the rep's ear while the door is still open.

  1. 1Open Coach, then Scripts. An admin writes the script and publishes it. Write a script names each step, says when it counts, and can mark a step required. Publish needs at least one named step.
  2. 2A script picked for a team wins for that team. Leave teams empty for All teams. The outcome on the knock does not pick the script.
  3. 3Record the conversation after consent. The talk is scored against the live version from then on. Editing a live script publishes a new version. Past talks stay on the version that scored them.
  4. 4Open Coach, then Knocks, and open the talk. Each step shows Used, Missed, Not applicable, or Could not check, with the quote that shows it.
  5. 5A manager or an admin can change the counted result. Counted result and Reason are required. Save override keeps that change. It does not re-run the score.
  6. 6Only a required step can raise a coaching case. Needs review waits until at least 5 talks count as Used or Missed and the use rate is under 50 percent.

After the door

What the score is, and what it is not

The score is a check on the recording. Keywords and when-it-counts guide the scorer. It still judges the conversation, not exact words. The live script also shows in Knowledge and on the rep's next-door card. That brief is not a prompt during the talk.

Script steps

Sample

  1. 1. Opener

    7 of 9 talks

    5 of 9 talks

  • Used

The step showed up in the talk.

  • Missed

The step should have shown up and did not.

  • Not applicable

The step never came up, so it is not a miss.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is a script scored?

After the recording is transcribed. A draft does not score talks. New talks use the live version.

Can I score a talk while the rep is still speaking?

No. There is no live whisper. The score waits until the door is done.

Which script is used for a team?

A script picked for that team wins. All teams covers everyone else. The outcome does not pick the script.

Does an override re-score the talk?

No. Save override changes the counted result and needs a reason. The original score is not run again.

Which misses open a case?

Required steps only, after at least 5 counted talks (Used plus Missed) and a use rate under 50 percent.
