territory overlap door to door
Stop territory overlap door to door before a second owner
Territory overlap door to door is two people able to claim the same door, and you stop it by cutting turf that cannot overlap and giving that door one owner. Knockdesk field sales software holds that boundary under the sales territory management pillar.
Book a Walkthrough- 1Draw the territory, the area you assign, as a polygon, a circle, a rectangle, a zip, a county, or a state.
- 2Cut turf inside that territory. New turf cannot overlap turf already cut.
- 3Put one vendor on the turf and assign one owner. One door, one owner.
- 4Mark Do Not Contact on any pin that must not be knocked.
- 5Leave those DNC pins off the knock list. They do not count toward coverage.
The overlap
Two names on one door is the whole miss
A shared list still lets the next rep open a door you already gave away. Territory is the area you draw and assign. Turf is the work you cut from it. If the new turf overlaps turf already cut, or a Do Not Contact pin stays knockable, Friday is a recount of the same households.
Shared doors
One door, one owner. A second turf on doors already cut is overlap, even when both reps meant to split the work.
Turf before a boundary
Work cut before a territory exists has no edge that can refuse the next claim.
DNC still knockable
Do Not Contact pins stay off the knock list. A pin the rep can still open was not marked.
DNC inside coverage
Those pins do not count toward coverage. Counting them makes the turf look further along than the doors you can knock.
One owner
The knock list is the doors this person can touch
On Knockdesk you draw the territory, cut turf that cannot overlap turf already cut, and assign one owner. Do Not Contact pins stay off the knock list and do not count toward coverage. The knock log is that owner's doors, including Not Home. Full desk is on the pricing page. A free trial is not open.
