Door to door roofing sales training for a ground look

Door to door roofing sales training on this page is six lessons on this same URL: the territory, the visit, the ground look, the recording, Coach, and the inspection. Roofing sales training here is that same walk. Storm canvassing does not promise a claim. Knockdesk is field sales software. You paste the six steps. The product does not import this page. A free trial of the desk is not open.

  1. 1

    Territory

Draw the territory and cut turf so two crews do not share the same pins.

  2. 2

    Visit

Log every door, including Not Home. Do Not Contact stays off coverage.

  3. 3

    Ground look

Say what you can see from the ground. Do not promise a claim or guarantee the roof.

  4. 4

    Recording

Recording is opt-in. Consent comes first. Skip still logs the door.

  5. 5

    Coach

Paste opening, rapport, discovery, presentation, objections, and close.

  6. 6

    Inspection

Write the inspection on the pin. A no still logs.

Territory

Cut turf before the crews stack up

Draw the territory as a polygon, a circle, a rectangle, or a zip, county, or state. Cut turf inside it by lasso, by a CSV of pins, or from pins already on the map. The lasso has to stay inside the territory and cannot overlap turf you already cut. Assign each turf so two crews do not knock the same pins.

Put one vendor on the pack. Field prospecting is Full, Semi, or Unrestricted. Full keeps the rep on pins assigned to them. Semi lets them knock an unassigned place only inside a territory that allows field prospecting. Unrestricted lets them create a pin where they stand. Do Not Contact stays off coverage. Onboarding does not block a knock. A storm week does not turn a chat list into a territory.

  1. 1Draw the territory before the crews roll.
  2. 2Cut turf inside it and assign each pack.
  3. 3Put one vendor on that turf.
  4. 4Set prospecting to Full, Semi, or Unrestricted.
  5. 5Leave Do Not Contact off coverage.
  6. 6Do not send two crews into the same pins.

Visit

Log the door before you talk about the roof

The visit is Start Knock or Log visit on that address. Log every door, including Not Home. Not Home does not create a lead. A blank pin looks fresh, and the next crew will knock it as if you were never there.

Reps log on iOS and Android. The phone keeps the outcome when the signal drops and sends it when the bars return. Managers read those visits on the web. Knockdesk does not measure a roof. The log is the visit, not a measurement.

  • Not Home

Log Not Home. Do not leave a promise about storm damage on a door that did not open.

  • Do Not Contact

Do Not Contact stays off coverage, including on a storm canvass.

  • Someone answers

Say you can look from the ground. Ask what they have seen. Then log the outcome.

  • Two crews

If the pin already has an outcome, read it. Do not start a second story on the same door.

Ground look

Storm canvassing does not promise a claim

Door to door roofing sales training at the door is a ground look, not a payment story. Name yourself and the company. Say you will not promise a claim. Ask about leaks or missing shingles they have already seen. Do not invent storm damage. Do not promise storm-damage money. Do not guarantee the roof.

Roofing sales training on this page stops at work you can schedule and price. If they want an inspection, write it on the pin. If they do not, log that and leave. Knockdesk does not measure a roof and does not draw a weather overlay.

What to say on a roofing porch. Not a customer storm.
MomentSay thisDo not say this
OpeningI am [name] with [company]. I can look from the ground. I will not promise a claim. The storm means you get the roof paid for.
DiscoveryAny leaks or missing shingles you have seen?I can already tell the storm ruined the roof.
InspectionIf you want an inspection I write it on this pin.I guarantee the roof.
LeaveIf you do not want a next step I log that.I will leave the pin blank so another crew can promise a claim.

Recording

Consent first. The file is not the claim.

Recording is opt-in. Consent comes first. Say your name and company, then say you want a file. Pick Verbal Consent, Written Consent, or Will Record Consent, then Start Recording. Knockdesk does not ask the other party for you.

If they say no, Skip Recording. The knock continues with no file, and you still log the door. After a file exists, each step can be used, missed, not applicable, or could not check. A suggested outcome sits beside the outcome you logged. The score does not replace the outcome. A file is not a promise of a claim.

  1. 1Name yourself before you ask to record.
  2. 2Pick Verbal Consent, Written Consent, or Will Record Consent.
  3. 3Start Recording only after they agree.
  4. 4If they refuse, Skip Recording and keep the knock.
  5. 5Log the door either way, including Not Home.
  6. 6Do not treat the file as a promise of a claim. The score does not replace the outcome.

Coach

Paste six steps with the claim left out

Coach holds six steps: opening, rapport, discovery, presentation, objections, and close. You paste the script. The product does not import this page. An admin names the script, picks teams or leaves All teams, and publishes at least one named step. A draft does not score talks.

Roofing sales training in Coach is those six steps without a claim, without storm-damage money, and without a roofing guarantee. The sample steps on this page, opener at 7 of 9 talks, are a sample, not a customer script.

  1. 1Opening: name, company, and a ground look. Storm canvassing does not promise a claim.
  2. 2Rapport: how long they have been in the house, and whether the roof was already worked.
  3. 3Discovery: leaks or missing shingles they have seen. Do not invent storm damage.
  4. 4Presentation: how an inspection is booked and how you price work you can do. Do not guarantee the roof.
  5. 5Objections: schedule the inspection or log the no. Do not promise storm-damage money.
  6. 6Close: write the next step on this address so the pin is not blank.

Inspection

The inspection lives on the visit

A manager configures the outcome labels. The desk does not ship a ready-made list. A lead opens when the outcome stage has Creates Lead on, one lead per pin and vendor. Show on Deal Board adds that stage as a column. Requires Follow-up can block Complete visit until the date is on the visit. Not Home does not create a lead.

Write the inspection on this address before you leave. A text to the office is not the visit. If the job is later called off, log that on the same pin. The product never invents a rate. This page does not publish a dollar rate. If you load addresses, use Import leads. Territory and vendor are required. The file is CSV, XLSX, or XLS.

  • Inspection booked

The date sits on the pin. The office should not rebuild it from a message.

  • No next step

Log the no. Storm canvassing does not leave a blank pin so someone else can promise a claim.

  • No guarantee

Do not guarantee the roof. Do not promise storm-damage money. Knockdesk does not measure a roof.

  • One vendor

The vendor on that turf is the vendor for the visit. Do not mix packs in a chat.

Check the ground look

Five questions before the next door

Pick one answer on each question. Each choice adds points. The band is the highest min score your total still clears. This quiz is teaching, not a certified test.

  1. 1. You are canvassing after a storm. What is the opening?

  2. 2. They have not looked at the roof and you cannot see damage from the ground. What do you say?

  3. 3. The next pin is Do Not Contact, and the crew is behind. What do you do?

  4. 4. They will talk and they will not be recorded. What happens?

  5. 5. How does this roofing talk get scored?
