door to door follow up
Log door to door follow up on the visit
Door to door follow up is an outcome on the visit, not a message sent to every pin. Knockdesk is field sales software for that return: turn on Requires Follow-up, pick that outcome, and set the date on the same knock. This how-to sits on the guides hub.
Book a Walkthrough- 1Open Settings, then Pipeline. Turn on Requires Follow-up for the outcome that means come back. Interested and Call Back already have it. Business Closed does too.
- 2On the visit, the rep picks that outcome. That pick is the follow-up. It is not a text to the turf.
- 3On the same visit, turn on Schedule follow-up and set the follow-up date. When that switch is on, the date is required. Add a time and a note if you have them.
- 4The desk creates a follow-up task for that rep, due on that follow-up date, from that knock. If the outcome created a lead, the task sits on the lead.
- 5The next person opens the knock. A note kept only on a personal phone is not the record.
The misses
Mistakes that leave the return off the visit
The return fails when it lives somewhere the next rep cannot open. The outcome and the date have to be on the knock.
A text to the turf
Sending a note to every pin is not door to door follow up. The product does not blast messages. The outcome on the visit is the return.
A date with no outcome
Schedule follow-up without picking Call Back or another outcome that has Requires Follow-up, and the next person cannot see why you are going back.
Requires Follow-up on Not Home
A closed door should not demand a booked time. Leave that switch for the outcomes that mean come back.
The knock
The return sits on the row you just logged
The knock row is the visit: who went, which pin, and the outcome they picked. When that outcome has Requires Follow-up and the date is set, the task belongs to that rep. The shape on the panel is a log. Recording is opt-in, and a skipped tape still leaves the outcome on the pin.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is door to door follow up on the knock?
Door to door follow up is an outcome on the visit with Requires Follow-up, plus a date on that same knock. Knockdesk is field sales software for that return. It is not a text to every pin.
Which outcomes already require a return?
Interested and Call Back already have Requires Follow-up. Business Closed does too. Appointment Set does not, until you turn the switch on in Settings, then Pipeline.
What does Schedule follow-up create?
When Schedule follow-up is on and the follow-up date is set, the desk creates a follow-up task for that rep, due on that follow-up date, from that knock. If the outcome created a lead, the task sits on the lead.
Can I follow up by texting the whole turf?
No. The product does not send a blast. Put the outcome and the date on the visit so the next person can open the knock.
Does a skipped recording erase the return?
No. Recording is opt-in. Skip still logs the outcome on the pin. The follow-up is the outcome and the date, not the tape.
