door to door objection handling
Door to door objection handling after they hear the offer
Door to door objection handling is the talk after the offer, when they say not interested, no time, send info, or I need to ask my spouse. Knockdesk is field sales software. Practice the steps on this page, then paste that same objections work into Coach. A free trial of the desk is not open.
Book a Walkthrough- 1Hear the stop. Repeat it in their words. Do not argue the price they did not name.
- 2Ask if that is the only stop. One question. Then wait.
- 3Answer one thing. Not the whole brochure again. One answer that fits the stop they said.
- 4Check. Does that still stop you, or can we talk about the next step?
- 5If they say not interested a second time, or they close the door, thank them, leave the porch, and write the outcome.
- 6If they name a time or a spouse, put that next visit on the pin. Do not invent the other person's yes.
The objective
What this lesson asks the hire to do
The offer already named a price. This lesson is the Coach objections step. A hire who can recite rebuttals still loses the block when they argue past a closed door, or when send info never becomes a visit. Door to door objection handling is one stop, one answer, then a check. A clear no is an outcome.
Not interested
Hear it. Answer once if they stay. A second not interested is a leave. Log it.
No time
Offer a shorter next step or a time they name. Do not speed-read the pitch.
Send info
Agree, then put when you return on the pin. Send info is not a close.
The spouse
Ask if they decide together. Offer a time. Do not invent the other person's yes.
The porch
Worked moments for the four stops
Each stop has one move. Use the row that matches the words they used. The brackets are placeholders. Change the offer. Keep the order. Do not turn a closed door into a debate.
| Stop | Do | Skip |
|---|---|---|
| Not interested | I hear you. Is it the offer, the time, or something else? | Stay in the pitch and argue the price. |
| They say it again | Thank you. Leave. Log the outcome. | Start the offer over from the sidewalk. |
| No time | I can do this in two minutes, or I can come back at [time]. | Talk faster and finish every point. |
| Send info | I can leave [info]. When should I come back? | Treat the leave-behind as a close and skip the pin. |
| Ask my spouse | Do you decide together? I can come back when you are both here. | Say they will love it and mark the deal. |
| Hostile leave | Leave the porch. Log the outcome. Tell the manager. | Reset the pitch or start a secret recording. |
The stall
Where the stop dies without a desk
The objection lives in a story when the territory, the visit, and the coaching sit in three places. The manager hears a different not interested on every ride-along. The next loop knocks a porch that already named the stop.
The rebuttal is a chat
A thread cannot show whether you answered once or argued the door shut. Coach needs a visit to score the objections step.
Send info never returns
A flyer in a pocket is not a next visit. The pin has to hold the time they named.
Objections never get a score
If the talk is not on the visit, the objections step in Coach has nothing to mark.
The turf is a shared list
A clean answer on the wrong turf is still a stop the manager cannot assign.
On the desk
Paste the four stops into the objections step
Coach holds six steps: opening, rapport, discovery, presentation, objections, and close. This lesson is objections. Paste not interested, no time, send info, and the spouse into that step. The product does not import this lesson from the academy. The sample steps on this page, opener at 7 of 9 talks, are a sample, not a customer script. Full desk is on the pricing page.
