# Ask first. Then press record.

Knockdesk recording consent is the conversation your rep has at the door before they press record. Knockdesk does not ask for you, and it does not decide the law on that porch.

## Thirty days, unless someone keeps it

Knockdesk call recording retention is 30 days. The recording is deleted after that window unless a manager or an admin marks it kept. Playback stays inside the signed-in desk. This page does not play a real visit.

The score you see in coaching comes from that recording. The rep's outcome on the knock is not overwritten by the score.

## FAQ

### Who gets recording consent?

Your rep does. Knockdesk recording consent is not a banner we show the homeowner. The team asks before the visit is recorded.

### How long are recordings kept?

Knockdesk call recording retention is 30 days. After that the file is deleted unless a manager or an admin marks it kept.

### Who can keep a recording?

Managers and admins. Keeping a recording is what stops the 30-day deletion. Playback itself stays in the signed-in desk.

### Does the score replace the rep's outcome?

No. The outcome the rep logged stays the outcome. The score is a read of the talk, for coaching.

### Where is the longer security statement?

On the security page. It covers encryption in transit, access controls, and the fact that SOC 2 is not claimed.
