## How to fill the chargeback column

1. One row per confirmed deal. Name the rep and the vendor.
2. Rate type is flat or percent. Rate amount is the number that was live, not a guess.
3. Payout is what that rate produced.
4. Use the chargeback column when the sale comes back. If the customer canceled in cooling-off, type the full payout there so net is 0.
5. Write the chargeback reason in the next cell. Friday will ask.
6. Net is payout minus chargeback. Leave payout as it was.

## Limits of a spreadsheet

A typed chargeback is still a number someone can undo. A missing rate becomes a guess. The sheet will invent a payout. Knockdesk will not. A void on the desk writes a reversal of that amount times negative one, and the original row stays.
