# Broker crews keep energy sales software on the stalled switch

You are looking for energy sales software because the supplier switch never reached the vendor file. Knockdesk field sales software logs that knock, cuts turf that cannot overlap, and pays a saved vendor rate when the sale is confirmed. It does not enroll the account at the utility.

## How these teams sell energy

Deregulated energy door to door sales is the knock, the bill conversation, and a confirmation that arrives on a later file. An energy broker sales app on this desk is that phone: clock-in, the outcome a manager configured, and one turf for the rep.

## Four problems on a broker crew

A full day of knocks can still leave the switch unconfirmed. These are the stalls a manager can see once the pin holds the outcome.

**Late confirmation.** The week of the knock is not the week the vendor file arrives. Pay waits for confirmation, not for a remembered handshake.

**Stacked pins.** Two reps tell two stories at the same address. New turf cannot overlap, so the second cut has to be a different pack.

**No file of the talk.** The bill objection disappears when nobody records. Skip Recording still logs the outcome, and there is nothing to score.

**Empty amount.** If the vendor has no saved rate and the organization has no default, the amount stays empty. The desk does not invent a rate.

## What a manager sets for this crew

A manager configures outcome stages, draws the territory, and cuts turf. Knockdesk does not install a finished setup. Full desk is on the pricing page.

| Piece | What the manager does |
| --- | --- |
| Outcomes | Open Outcome Stages and add the labels the rep picks after End Knock, such as Not home, Bill reviewed, Switch started, or Declined. Set Creates Lead, Requires Notes, Requires Follow-up, Marks as DNC, or Show on Deal Board. |
| Territory and turf | Draw the territory, then cut turf by lasso, by a CSV of addresses, or from pins already on the map. New turf cannot overlap. Set a weekly visit target from 1 to 100000. |
| Vendors | Put one supplier vendor on the turf. Confirmation uses that vendor's saved rate. Import and export are files only. |
| What this desk does not do | No utility enrollment and no supplier rate quote. Import and export only. |

## Six Coach steps for the bill talk

Recording is opt-in. Consent is a step: Verbal Consent, Written Consent, or Will Record Consent, then Start Recording. Skip Recording still logs the outcome and leaves no file. Paste these six steps into Coach. Knockdesk does not import a script, and the score does not replace the logged outcome.

1. Opening: Name yourself, the supplier, and why you are at the door before you mention the bill.
2. Rapport: Ask who handles the account and whether this is a workable moment to look at it together.
3. Discovery: Ask what they pay and who supplies it now, and write that on the visit when the stage requires notes.
4. Presentation: Explain only the offer your office allows. Do not invent a rate the vendor has not saved.
5. Objections: Answer the bill, the contract length, and the switch concern, and leave that answer on the visit.
6. Close: Book the next step they agreed to, or log the decline. The score does not replace that outcome.

## A Sprint for the switch push

Sprint is the short format for a push on one turf. An admin or a sales manager picks Knocks, Conversations, Appointments, or Confirmed sales, saves the draft, then Activate and Make it live. Onboarding does not block knocks. Contest eligibility can still require finished onboarding. Knockdesk has 9 formats: Sprint, Marathon, Head to head, Team battle, Custom Team Challenge, Territory War, Survivor, Achievement race, and Bracket. Territory War stays with admins. Head to head stays invite only.

## Pay the rate that was already saved

Confirmation uses the vendor rate live at that moment. If that vendor has no rate, Knockdesk uses the default organization rate. If neither exists, the amount stays empty. A residual pays only when a residual rate is already saved. Knockdesk does not invent a rate and does not split a commission. A file row matches the rep's CRM email, exact. Names are not matched.

| Job | What Knockdesk does |
| --- | --- |
| Vendor rate | Amount, currency USD when blank, and an effective-from time. Confirmation uses the window that contains that moment. |
| Organization default | Used only when the vendor on the sale has no rate at confirmation. If that default is also missing, the amount stays empty. |
| Residual | Pays only when a residual rate is already saved. Knockdesk does not invent one. |
| Switch that falls off | Void, when a commission row exists, writes a reversal of that amount times negative one. A sale already voided cannot be voided again. |
| Dispute | Sets Under dispute and leaves the dollars already written. Resolve by confirming again or by voiding. |

## General information, not legal advice

This page is general information, not legal advice. Some in-person energy sales have a cooling-off period. The cooling-off page and the laws hub state that general rule. Knockdesk does not file the notice, and buying the desk does not settle a compliance question.

**Recording consent.** Recording is opt-in. Consent is a step. The rep picks Verbal Consent, Written Consent, or Will Record Consent, then Start Recording. Skip Recording still logs the outcome.

**Do Not Contact.** Mark DNC on the pin, or complete a stage with Marks as DNC. Do Not Contact pins stay off the knock list and do not count toward coverage.

**Unverified knocks.** A knock not at the door is unverified. Log visit still saves with an Unverified visit badge.

**Cooling-off.** Read the cooling-off page for the general rule on in-person sales. This desk does not file that notice and does not give legal advice.

## FAQ

### What does energy sales software do in Knockdesk?

It is the territory you draw, the turf you cut, the knock, the recording after consent, and the vendor rate at confirmation. Knockdesk field sales software does not enroll a utility account. Full desk is on the pricing page.

### How do deregulated energy door to door sales show up on the pin?

Deregulated energy door to door sales here is the outcome the rep logs after End Knock, plus a follow-up when that stage requires one. The supplier switch itself still happens in the vendor file, not inside Knockdesk.

### Is an energy broker sales app a separate product?

An energy broker sales app on this desk is the same seat: clock-in, the turf, the visit, and offline logging. It does not quote a supplier rate.

### Can two reps cut overlapping turf?

No. New turf cannot overlap. Cut by lasso, by a CSV of addresses, or from pins already on the map, and set a weekly visit target from 1 to 100000.

### Does onboarding block energy knocks?

No. Onboarding does not block knocks. A Sprint can still require finished onboarding before that rep scores in the game.

### How much does Knockdesk cost?

Full desk is on the pricing page. A free trial is not open.
