# Score the script after the door

You score a script after a knock, once the recording is transcribed. Knockdesk is field sales software that checks each live script step as Used, Missed, Not applicable, or Could not check. A draft does not score talks. There is no whisper in the rep's ear while the door is still open.

## What the score is, and what it is not

The score is a check on the recording. Keywords and when-it-counts guide the scorer. It still judges the conversation, not exact words. The live script also shows in Knowledge and on the rep's next-door card. That brief is not a prompt during the talk.

**Used.** The step showed up in the talk.

**Missed.** The step should have shown up and did not.

**Not applicable.** The step never came up, so it is not a miss.

**Could not check.** The recording or transcript could not decide.

## FAQ

### When is a script scored?

After the recording is transcribed. A draft does not score talks. New talks use the live version.

### Can I score a talk while the rep is still speaking?

No. There is no live whisper. The score waits until the door is done.

### Which script is used for a team?

A script picked for that team wins. All teams covers everyone else. The outcome does not pick the script.

### Does an override re-score the talk?

No. Save override changes the counted result and needs a reason. The original score is not run again.

### Which misses open a case?

Required steps only, after at least 5 counted talks (Used plus Missed) and a use rate under 50 percent.
