# What each role can open

Reps, managers, and owners are three seats on one desk, not three products. Knockdesk is field sales software whose invite roles are Field Sales Rep, Sales Manager, and Admin. Owner is the badge on the primary admin. It is not a role on Invite Member. Change a role later on Members.

## What each role can actually open

Use the names on the invite form. Do not call a sales manager an owner. Do not call the Owner badge a fourth role you can send.

| Role | What they open |
| --- | --- |
| Field Sales Rep | Canvassing, Performance, their Coaching, Pipeline, Analytics. My Onboarding until the checklist is done. |
| Sales Manager | Canvass, Coach, Compete for teams they lead, People, Analytics. No Organization Settings. |
| Admin | Org Compete, Organization Settings, Members, Vendors, Reconciliation, invites. |
| Owner badge | The primary admin. Same Admin role, plus the Owner mark on Members. |

## FAQ

### Is Owner a role I can invite?

No. Invite Member offers Admin, Sales Manager, and Field Sales Rep. Owner is a badge on the primary admin.

### Can a sales manager invite a rep?

Not from Organization Settings. That footer link is admin only. Invite Member lives on Members.

### Can a sales manager set a commission rate?

No. Vendors and rates stay with admins. A sales manager can read the ledger for teams they lead.

### Who sees the coaching inbox?

An admin or a sales manager. A field sales rep is sent to their own Coaching page.

### Who sees Territory war?

Admins, when they start a game. A sales manager gets the other formats on the teams they lead.
