# Set who can knock a place that was never assigned

How the prospecting policy works is Field prospecting on the desk, not a separate policy menu. Knockdesk is field sales software. On System Settings, pick Full lockdown, Semi lockdown, or Unrestricted. In Semi lockdown, each territory has Allow field prospecting. That switch is ignored in Full lockdown and Unrestricted.

## The territory switch only matters in Semi lockdown

Field prospecting lockdown is the org default. Full lockdown keeps the rep on assigned pins. Unrestricted opens every place. Semi lockdown is the only mode that reads Allow field prospecting on the territory. A crew that knocks unassigned porches in Full lockdown will hit that block at the door, not in a weekly memo.
