# Keep do-not-contact pins off the knock list

How do-not-contact pins work is a pin status that stays out of the knock list. Knockdesk is field sales software. Mark DNC on the pin, or complete a knock whose outcome has Marks as DNC. The status label is Do Not Contact. Those pins do not count toward coverage.

## A DNC pin is restricted, not forgotten

Mark DNC on a pin is the stop that keeps a porch off the next loop. Restricted pins are do-not-contact. Invalid pins are unknown addresses. Neither counts toward coverage. A name on a paper list that never hits the pin will get knocked again.

**Mark DNC.** On the pin, Mark DNC sets the status to Do Not Contact.

**The outcome.** An outcome with Marks as DNC does the same thing when the knock is completed.

**Coverage.** Do-not-contact pins are excluded from eligible coverage, with invalid addresses.
