What is self gen in sales is an account the rep found, not a name the office handed them. Knockdesk is field sales software that treats that find as field prospecting on a knock: Full, Semi, or Unrestricted.

## A self-gen door that never becomes a knock is a rumor

You feel it when the rep swears they found four businesses and Friday has no pins. What is self gen in sales is the find plus the knock. Under Full, those four unassigned doors stay blocked. Under Semi, they save only if that territory allows field prospecting. Under Unrestricted, they can land anywhere. The account still needs an outcome on the pin.

**Found.** The rep walked up to a place that was not on their assigned pack. That is the self-gen.

**Allowed.** Full, Semi, or Unrestricted decides whether that knock can start. Ask which mode the org is on.

**Logged.** Start Knock or Log visit writes the pin. A photo in a thread is not a self-gen account.

## Eight assigned, four found, a split you can recompute

Maya works 12 accounts. 8 were already assigned on North ridge. 4 she found. Self-gen share is 4 / 12, about 33 percent. If the org is on Full, those 4 cannot start unless someone assigns the pins. If the org is on Semi and the territory allows field prospecting, the 4 can become knocks. Unrestricted lets all 4 start. The 8 assigned doors are not self-gen.
