# The pin stays off the knock list

Do not contact means the pin stays off the knock list and does not count toward coverage. Knockdesk is field sales software, and what does do not contact mean here is a door the crew must not work, not a skip you still score on the board.

## A Do Not Contact point on the leaderboard is a lie about the walk

You feel it when a rank climbs because someone marked doors the crew cannot hit. What does do not contact mean on Friday is the pin is closed. Contests and ranks score logged work. They should not treat a DNC pin as coverage you finished. Open the no-knock registry page if the list came from a city.

**Off the list.** Mark DNC, or complete an outcome that marks the pin as Do Not Contact. The knock list drops it.

**Off coverage.** Finished doors do not include that pin. Sales coverage ratio leaves it out of the workable base.

**Not a prize.** A leaderboard that treats DNC as work is scoring a door nobody should have knocked.

## One hundred eighty-six pins, six DNC, a list you can recompute

Harbor loop holds 186 pins. Jordan marks 6 as Do Not Contact: 2 from a posted sign, 4 from a resident who asked to be left alone. The knock list shows 180. Coverage uses 180 workable doors, not 186. A knock contest that week scores 74 logged visits. It does not add the 6 DNC pins as extra finished work.

| Count | Number | On the desk |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Assigned pins | 186 | The turf Jordan holds |
| Do Not Contact | 6 | Off the knock list |
| Knock list left | 180 | 186 minus 6 |
| Logged visits | 74 | The contest can score these |
| DNC added as coverage | 0 | 6 pins do not become 80 finished |

## Do not contact is a pin. A no-knock list is a source.

A no-knock list or a city registry is one reason to mark the pin. A door disposition is the outcome you chose. Sales coverage ratio is the fraction that ignores DNC. Do not treat a no to the offer as Do Not Contact unless they asked to be left alone.

## How Knockdesk tracks it

Mark DNC on the pin, or complete an outcome that marks it as Do Not Contact. That pin stays off the knock list. It does not count toward coverage. Ranks and contests still read logged visits, not DNC pins treated as finished turf. Full desk is on the pricing page.
