# Pay the won deal you can stand behind

A confirmed sale is a won deal you will pay after you confirm it yourself or match a vendor file. Knockdesk is field sales software, and a manager asking what is a confirmed sale wants the ledger row, not a porch yes on turf.

## A porch yes is not a confirmed sale

You feel it when Sold is on the pin and pay still argues. What is a confirmed sale is the moment the desk will honor. Dispute leaves the ledger as it is. Void writes a reversal when a commission row exists. A sale already voided cannot be voided again.

**Confirm.** Confirm the won deal yourself, or let a strong file match do it. The vendor on that turf is required.

**Dispute or void.** Dispute does not rewrite the dollar. Void writes a reversal of that amount times negative one.

**Empty.** If there is no vendor rate and no org default at confirmation, no commission row is written.

## Twelve won deals, one queue, a week you can recompute

Harbor loop logs 12 won deals on one vendor. A manager confirms 8. Three file rows match at 90, email plus exact address, above the default threshold of 80, and confirm. One row at 65, email plus a thin address, goes to the review queue. Eleven deals have a vendor rate. One has no vendor rate and no org default, so the amount stays empty.

| Path | Count | What confirmation does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Confirm yourself | 8 | Immediate. Scored 100. |
| File match at 90 | 3 | Email 40 plus exact address 50. Confirms. |
| File match at 65 | 1 | Under 80. Review queue. |
| No rate at all | 1 of the 12 | Amount stays empty. No invented rate. |
| Void later | 1 of the confirmed | Writes a reversal. The original row stays. |

## Confirmed is pay. Close rate is the yes.

Close rate is closes over the sits or conversations you name. Conversion rate on knocks is leads over knocks. A confirmed sale is the won deal the desk will pay on that turf. Do not treat the three as one number.

- [Close rate](/glossary/close-rate): Closes over sits or conversations. Still not pay.

- [Turf](/glossary/turf): The pack that holds the vendor on that won deal.

- [Sales conversion rate](/glossary/conversion-rate): Leads over knocks in Knockdesk analytics. A different percent.

## How Knockdesk tracks it

You confirm a won deal yourself, or you match the vendor file. A match under the default threshold of 80 goes to the review queue. Commission uses the vendor rate whose window contains confirmation, then the org default. The product never invents a rate. Dispute leaves the row. Void writes a reversal. The deal still sits on turf that already has a vendor. Full desk is on the pricing page.

## Keep going from the confirmation

- [Field sales glossary](/glossary): The hub this term opens from.

- [Close rate formula](/glossary/close-rate): The yes on the sit, before anyone talks about pay.

- [Pricing](/pricing): Full desk is the seat that holds the ledger.

## FAQ

### What is a confirmed sale?

A confirmed sale is a won deal you confirm yourself or match to a vendor file. A porch Sold is not pay until that confirmation exists.

### How do you confirm a sale in Knockdesk?

Confirm the won deal yourself, which scores 100, or match a vendor-file row. The rep column has to be the CRM email, exact. Names are not matched.

### What happens when the file match is weak?

A match under the auto-confirm threshold, which defaults to 80, goes to the review queue. Email plus a thin address at 65 is that case.

### Where does the commission amount come from?

The vendor rate whose window contains the confirmation moment. If that vendor has no rate, the org default is used. If neither exists, the amount stays empty.

### Does Knockdesk invent a commission rate?

No. If no vendor rate and no org default exist at confirmation, no commission row is written.

### What is the difference between dispute and void?

Dispute leaves the ledger as it is. Void writes a reversal when a commission row exists. A sale already voided cannot be voided again.

### Is a confirmed sale the same as close rate?

No. Close rate is closes over sits or conversations. A confirmed sale is the won deal the desk will pay.
