# Pay the vendor on that turf.

Knockdesk is field sales software for teams that sell in person. Software for door to door dealers here is one vendor per turf, vendor rates, a vendor-file match, disputes and reversals, and vendor-level reports. The deal card on this page is a sample. It is not a customer sale.

## Keep one vendor per turf so pay follows the work

Authorized dealer sales software has to keep the product line on the doors a rep actually works. Put one vendor on the turf when you cut it. The product and the pay stay attached to that work. A pin with more than one vendor still asks the rep who they knocked for. The turf is not a mixed list you sort after Friday.

## Set vendor rates that confirmation can actually use

Multi-vendor commission tracking here is a rate per vendor, plus a default organization rate when that vendor has none. Set an amount, a currency that defaults to USD, and an effective-from time. A newer rate closes the previous open window for that vendor. Confirmation uses the row whose window contains that moment. The product never invents a rate.

| Setting | In the product |
| --- | --- |
| Vendor rate | Amount with up to two decimals, currency USD when blank, and an effective-from time. Confirmation uses the window that contains that moment. |
| Default organization rate | A rate with no vendor. Used only when that vendor has no rate at confirmation. |
| No rate | If neither rate exists, the amount stays empty and no commission row is written. |
| Who sets it | An admin sets vendor rates. A sales manager can read the ledger for teams they lead. They cannot set a rate. |

## Run the vendor-file match on won deals

A vendor-file match is a CSV or Excel upload. Only an admin opens Reconciliation. Map the CRM email, exact. Names are not matched. Pick the confirmation value, select the vendor, and process. A match under the auto-confirm threshold, which defaults to 80, goes to the review queue.

1. Open Organization Settings, then Reconciliation. Turn on Enable CSV upload reconciliation and set the auto-confirm threshold. It defaults to 80.
2. Upload CSV. Choose file accepts.csv,.xls, or.xlsx up to 10MB. Only the first sheet is processed.
3. Map Rep email (CRM user, exact match) and Status / confirmation. For location map Address as a full line, or Street, City, State, and ZIP. Do not map both styles.
4. Choose the confirmation value, select the vendor, and process. Results tally confirmed, review queued, unmatched, error, and duplicate.
5. If no won deal qualifies, Knockdesk can create one when an active closed-won outcome stage exists. If it cannot, the row errors and no commission is written.

## Use disputes and reversals when Friday's file is wrong

Disputes and reversals live on Sale confirmation. Dispute sets Under dispute and leaves the ledger as it is. The line drops out of totals until you resolve it. Void, when a commission row exists, writes a reversal of that amount times negative one. Only an admin disputes and voids. A voided sale cannot be disputed.

**Dispute.** Sets Under dispute and leaves the ledger as it is. Needs a reason. Totals exclude the line until you resolve it.

**Resolve by confirming.** Restores the sale to confirmed. The hold ends. Totals include it again.

**Void and reversal.** Stores a reason. When a commission row exists, it writes that amount times negative one. It cannot run twice.

## Read vendor-level reports from the same seat

Vendor-level reports sit on Analytics, then Compensation. Filter the file by vendor. Each rep row can show a vendor breakdown of net, plus confirmed sales, gross, reversals, and net. Export writes PDF, Excel, or CSV. That is a file you download. The sample week on this page is 82 knocks, 11 appointments, and 9 recorded talks. That week is a sample, not a customer result.
