# Score the outcome they logged.

Knockdesk is field sales software, and sales gamification software is how that desk scores the outcome a rep just logged. The score is the Completed Knock base plus the points on that outcome. Badges run from bronze to diamond, a streak freeze holds an active streak for 24 hours, and a goal tracks the number you set.

## What the score does after a knock

A sales gamification app fails the week the score lives in a chat the manager cannot open. Field sales gamification in Knockdesk pays the outcome on the knock, shows badges from bronze to diamond, and keeps a goal on the same desk. Contests and leaderboards stay separate jobs. The walkthrough puts your outcomes on that score.

## How a logged outcome becomes points

Door to door sales gamification software only works if the points follow the outcome the rep logged, not a number typed after the shift. Sales gamification tools here are Completed Knock, the points on each outcome, the badge, the streak freeze, and the goal.

1. Completed Knock starts on, with base points at 0. Leave qualifying outcomes empty and every outcome qualifies. Pick a list and only those outcomes qualify.
2. Set points on each outcome. They start at 0. A finished knock awards the base plus those outcome points, and a total of 0 awards nothing.
3. The same knock still records an activity streak and adds 1 to a knocks goal, even when the points total is 0.
4. A badge is bronze, silver, gold, platinum, or diamond, and a new badge defaults to bronze. Multi-award stays off until you turn it on.
5. A rep freezes their own active streak for 24 hours, once in that calendar month. A streak at 0 cannot be frozen.
6. A goal needs a type, a metric, a whole-number target above zero, and a period. Only an admin can create an organization goal. A field rep cannot create a team goal.

## Settings in the product

A sales gamification platform is the list an admin can change. The sales gamification dashboard reads that same list back as the score. These rows are the settings in the product.

| Setting | In the product |
| --- | --- |
| Completed Knock | On by default. Base points start at 0. Points are awarded only while the action is on and the total is above 0. |
| Qualifying outcomes | An empty list means every outcome qualifies. A selected list limits which outcomes add the base and the outcome points. |
| Outcome points | Set on each outcome. The default is 0, which awards no points for that outcome. They are added to the Completed Knock base. |
| Route Completed | A second system action. It starts off, at 0 points, and awards nothing until an admin turns it on. |
| Badge tier | Bronze, silver, gold, platinum, or diamond. A new badge defaults to bronze. Multi-award is off unless you turn it on. |
| Streak freeze | 24 hours, once in the calendar month, and only when the streak count is above 0. Types are activity, performance, contact, and conversion. |
| Goal | Type is one rep, a team, or the whole organization. The target is a whole number above zero. The period is daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or custom. |

## What the manager sets and what the rep holds

The admin owns the points and the badges. A sales manager owns the team goal. The rep owns the freeze on their own streak, and the personal goal that names them.

**Manager.** An admin sets Completed Knock, outcome points, and badges, and is the only role that can create an organization goal. A sales manager creates a team goal for a team they lead. They do not change outcome points.

**Rep.** A field rep creates a personal goal aimed at themselves and can freeze their own active streak. They cannot create a team goal or an organization goal, and they cannot change the points on an outcome.

## Versus a spreadsheet

A sheet can list names after the shift. It does not add outcome points to a base, refuse a freeze on a zero streak, or stop a field rep from opening a team goal. The table is an example, not a customer week.

| Example | Number | What Knockdesk does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Completed Knock base | 2 | Example only. The product default is 0. |
| Outcome points | 25 | Example only. Added to the base. |
| Total on that knock | 27 | 2 plus 25. Awarded because the total is above 0. |
| A zero total | 0 | Base 0 plus outcome 0 awards nothing. |
| Streak freeze | 24 hours | Once in the calendar month, and only if the count is above 0. |
| Goal target | 40 knocks | Example. The target must be a whole number above zero. |

## FAQ

### What does sales gamification software do in Knockdesk?

It scores a finished knock as Completed Knock base points plus the points on that outcome. Badges run from bronze to diamond, a rep can freeze an active streak, and a goal tracks a number you set.

### What are the point defaults?

Completed Knock starts on with a base of 0. Each outcome starts at 0. A total of 0 awards no points. Route Completed starts off, also at 0.

### Which badge tiers can I set?

Bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond. A new badge defaults to bronze. Multi-award is off unless you turn it on.

### How does the streak freeze work?

### Which plan includes the score?

Full desk is the only Knockdesk plan. It is Full desk. A free trial is not open.
