# A contest is not a TV.

Knockdesk vs Hoopla is a field desk against a TV board. Knockdesk is field sales software for door-to-door and in-person teams: one Full desk plan. A free trial is not open. Hoopla vs Knockdesk is the same choice from their side. Hoopla is sales gamification: live leaderboards, contests, office TVs, and a rewards store fed by CRM metrics. It does not publish a seat price. Their demo is where they talk about a 30-day trial. Hoopla compared to Knockdesk still leaves the territory, the turf, and the knock on a different seat.

## What Knockdesk replaces, and what it does not

Hoopla is a point tool. Knockdesk replaces that job only where the product actually runs contests and leaderboards. It does. Compete has 9 formats. Knockdesk does not replace the rest of Hoopla.

**Replaces: the contest.** Compete runs Sprint, Marathon, Head to head, Team battle, Custom Team Challenge, Territory War, Survivor, Achievement race, and Bracket. Hoopla runs races, tournaments, and head-to-head matchups on CRM KPIs.

**Does not replace: the TV.** Hoopla ships free proprietary hardware, URL broadcasts, a Salesforce widget, Slack and Teams newsflashes, and CS or call-center boards. Knockdesk is not an office TV network and not a Salesforce home-page widget.

**Does not replace: the CRM feed.** Hoopla pulls live metrics from Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Talkdesk, Google Sheets, and a REST API. Knockdesk does not connect to other software. The knock still has to be logged on a desk.

## What each product actually states

A Yes is on a public product page, or it is in the Knockdesk product. Hoopla leaderboards, contests, rewards store, and TV hardware are on the homepage and the FAQ. Territory, turf, offline knocks, recording, and commissions are not stated on those Hoopla pages. Knockdesk does not connect to other software. Import and export stay a file.

## Where Hoopla is the better tool

Read this if you might stay. An office TV, a Salesforce widget, and a CS board are the Hoopla job. Knockdesk does not replace those.

**The wall still has to light up.** Hoopla broadcasts leaderboards to TVs with free proprietary hardware, to URL links, and to a native mobile app. Knockdesk is not a plug-and-play TV network for the floor.

**Inside sales and the service desk.** Hoopla names BDRs, closed deals, churn, renewals, tickets, and average handle time. Stay if the metric lives in a CRM or a phone system and the team never knocks a door.

**A 30-day trial they will talk through.** The product page says to book a demo and ask about a no-cost, fully supported 30-day trial. Knockdesk does not have a trial open.

## Where the contest scores the knock

If the job is a field contest, Knockdesk replaces Hoopla on that job. Compete has 9 formats. The leaderboard on this screen is a rank on knocks the crew already logged, not a CRM widget on a TV.

**Nine formats on the same seat.** Sprint, Marathon, Head to head, Team battle, Custom Team Challenge, Territory War, Survivor, Achievement race, and Bracket. Territory War stays with admins. Head to head stays invite only. You do not buy a second product to run the game.

**The knock still has to exist.** Hoopla does not log a door, cut turf, record a porch talk, or match a vendor file. Full desk does. A Hoopla contest cannot replace a visit that was never written down.

**A rate you can put on the roster.** Full desk is on the pricing page. Hoopla did not print a dollar. Keep Hoopla if the TV is the product. Move if the contest has to score the knock.

## Hoopla is not a turf file

You do not export turf from Hoopla. Hoopla is gamification on metrics another system already holds. Knockdesk has no third-party connections. Nothing writes back to Hoopla. You export the lead and rep list from the field tool or CRM you already run, then import and redraw.

1. Leave Hoopla in place if you still need the TV and the Salesforce widget. Turn it off if Compete is the contest.
2. Export the lead and rep list from the field tool or CRM those Hoopla boards already read. Hoopla is not the turf file.
3. Map fields. In Knockdesk, match the columns to lead fields.
4. Import CSV, XLSX, or XLS onto a territory, cut turf, and assign the packs. Start a contest on Compete in one of 9 formats.

## The next page, if the table was not enough

- [Full desk price](/pricing): One Knockdesk seat is Full desk, and a free trial is not open.

- [Field sales comparison](/compare): The matrix this page sits on, with the Hoopla column next to the other desks.

- [Leave Hoopla](/alternatives/hoopla): A shortlist for a field team that already knows the TV is not the knock.

- [Compete on Knockdesk](/compete): Nine contest formats, including brackets, scored on knocks the crew already logged.

- [Knockdesk vs Enzy](/compare/knockdesk-vs-enzy): When the other product is a performance OS and canvassing is still an add-on.

- [Knockdesk vs eCanvasser](/compare/knockdesk-vs-ecanvasser): When the other product still sells a walk list and Knockdesk is not political canvassing.
