# Door to door sales compliance training for the visit you log

Door to door sales compliance training on this page is general information about the city list, Do Not Contact, consent, and the log. Knockdesk is field sales software. It is not legal advice. The six lessons stay on this URL, with a quiz that adds points and a name you can print. A free trial of the desk is not open.

## The city list

A no-knock list is a city file, not one national download. Door to door sales compliance training here tells you to open that city page, read who commercial crews are told to skip, and pin those addresses in Knockdesk. This course is general information, not legal advice. It does not name a city's hours or permit rules.

After you read the city page, pin Do Not Contact on those addresses. The laws hub and the no-knock registry page are linked at the end of this course so you can open them yourself.

1. Find the city registry for the place you are working. Do not wait for a national file.
2. Read it as general information. This course is not a legal opinion.
3. Pin the listed addresses as Do Not Contact.
4. Leave those pins off the knock list.
5. Do not count them toward coverage.
6. If you already stood at one before you saw the list, log that visit, then pin Do Not Contact so the next loop skips it.

## Do Not Contact

Do Not Contact stays off the knock list and does not count toward coverage. Not Home still saves and still counts. A door you must not knock is not a Not Home. A list folded in a pocket is not Do Not Contact on the pin, so the next rep can still be sent there.

Full keeps the rep on assigned pins. Semi allows an unassigned place only inside a territory that allows field prospecting. Unrestricted lets them create a pin where they stand. Those modes still leave a Do Not Contact address off the knock list. Onboarding does not block a knock on an address that is still allowed.

**Off the knock list.** Once the pin is Do Not Contact, it is not a stop you assign on the next loop.

**Off coverage.** Do Not Contact does not count toward coverage. Not Home does.

**Not a silent skip.** Skipping it in your head leaves it on the list. Pin the status.

**Still off the list.** Full, Semi, and Unrestricted leave a Do Not Contact address off the knock list and off coverage.

## Consent is a step

Recording is opt-in. Consent is a step you take before any file. The rep picks verbal, written, or consent they will capture on the file, then Start Recording. Knockdesk does not ask the other party for you. This is how the desk records a choice. It is not a ruling on which consent a state requires.

If you do not have that choice, do not start the file. The visit can still be logged. A Coach score is not consent.

| Step | What the rep does | What the desk keeps |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Before the file | Choose verbal, written, or consent you will capture on the file. | No recording yet. |
| Start | Start Recording only after that choice. | The file. |
| Decline | Skip Recording. | The visit, with no file. |
| After the door | Log the outcome you saw. | The suggestion does not replace the log. |

## Skip still logs

Skip Recording continues the knock with no file. The outcome still has to land on the pin. A skipped tape is not a skipped door. Write Not Home, the no, or the appointment they agreed to.

Clocked In is not Knocking. If the knock was not at the door, the visit still saves and stays unverified. The desk does not draw a breadcrumb trail, and a missing file does not erase the log.

1. Offer the recording only after the consent step.
2. If they decline, choose Skip Recording.
3. Log the outcome on that address anyway.
4. Leave the suggestion beside the log. Do not let it replace the outcome.
5. If you were not at the door, keep the unverified visit.
6. Do not treat a missing file as a blank pin.

## The opening you paste

Paste six steps into Coach: opening, rapport, discovery, presentation, objections, and close. The opening names you, the company, and why you are there. Consent for a recording stays its own step and is not one of the six. The product does not import this lesson. An admin names the script, picks teams or leaves All teams, and publishes at least one named step. A draft does not score talks.

After a file, each step is used, missed, not applicable, or could not check. That score does not replace the logged outcome. This course is general information, not legal advice, and the lines you paste are the talk your team will actually use.

1. Opening: your name, the company, and why you are at the door.
2. Rapport: one honest question, then a pause.
3. Discovery: what they use now, in their words.
4. Presentation: one offer tied to that answer. Do not invent a savings number.
5. Objections: answer the one they said.
6. Close: log the yes or the no on the address.

## Log the visit

The visit is Start Knock or Log visit on that address, including Not Home. Reps log on iOS and Android. The phone keeps the outcome when the signal drops and sends it when the bars return. Managers read those visits on the web. GPS uses Active with location required. Auto-Clock can clock a rep in when a route starts or when a knock starts.

That is the log this course is about. It is not a scare, and it is not a substitute for reading the city page. General information stops here. The outcome on the pin is what the next loop can trust.

**Start Knock or Log visit.** Put the outcome on the address, including Not Home. A memory in the lot is not the log.

**Not Home counts.** Not Home saves and counts as coverage. Do Not Contact does not.

**Unverified if you were not there.** A knock that is not at the door still saves, with an unverified badge. Clocked In is not Knocking.

**No breadcrumb.** The desk does not draw the walk. The activity is the address and the outcome.

## Five questions on the log

This quiz adds points from the choice you pick. It is not a certified test.

## Type a name and print

Type a name in this browser and print the page. It stays in this browser. It is not accredited and it does not create an account. The print is not a legal certificate.
